As you arrive at the Amerigo Vespucci Airport, you will be met and transferred by a luxury vehicle to your hotel. Upon arrival at your hotel, you will find an Adventures Overland Road Book waiting for you. Once you have settled in, your AO Concierge will give you a call at the scheduled time to brief you on the exciting days ahead. Florence is a haven for fashion enthusiasts, boasting a remarkable fashion heritage and is home to prestigious luxury brands like Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Emilio Pucci. Need we say more? “Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping." - Bo Derek

Your drive through the Chianti region will charm you with unique landscapes, age-old Vineyards, and fantastic food. Start driving south from Florence via the Chianti Road which is also known as SR222- famous as part of the Mille Miglia road race route-a classic car rally of vintage cars. It is famously said that Chianti is bottled poetry, and you can indulge directly at the Viticcio Winery Estate and the Casa del Chianti Classico for a tasting. Keep driving east and across the beautiful Monastery & Olive Oil facility at Badia Coltbuono for lunch and olive oil tasting at the old monastery.

Continue your love affair with Tuscany as you head south to the Val D’orcia region. The landscape is lined with Cypress trees, charming farmhouses, and historic villages, making it the true essence of Tuscany. Drive towards Montepulciano, a quaint village famous for the exquisite red wine made primarily from Sangiovese grapes. Refresh yourself in the Thermal waters and Spa in the town of Bagno Vignoni. We can arrange a master class in how to make hand-rolled pasta and the incredible sauces that are unique only to Tuscan cuisine at a local farmhouse. Post lunch, take a leisurely drive through the vineyards of the Brunello region and loop back to Chianti country.

The drive today will be more relaxed as you will be exploring some beautiful hilltop towns like Monteriggioni and San Gimignano also known as the Town of Fine Towers because of 14 stand-alone towers forming a unique skyline that dominates the town. For lunch, savour the Tuscan cuisine, and inhale the flavours of the countryside. Finally, celebrate your passion for driving as you test your supercar on the SP222 (Strada Chiantigiana), the most scenic road in Tuscany. A final stop of the day is made in the village of Greve in Chianti, for an afternoon coffee and cakes. The tour then finishes in the hills near Florence at your luxury hotel.

Every motor enthusiast dreams of driving a luxury supercar and that too to the very mothership. Dreams are meant to come true! Today’s drive takes you to Bologna, through the Route Mille Miglia crossing two passes, Futa Pass and Passo della Raticosa a favourite for those seeking the thrill of driving along the scenic road with its share of twists and turns. Post lunch, you will reach Bologna, a vibrant city and home to museums and factories for Lamborghini, Enzo Ferrari, and Pagani showcasing the iconic luxury sports cars, concept cars, historic collections, and modern limited editions. Rejoice in your love for cars as you inhale the ambience of this unusual space.

All good things must come to an end! So will this epic drive through the most picturesque countryside of Tuscany. The Route Mille Miglia crosses two passes, Futa Pass and Passo della Raticosa a favorite for those seeking the thrill of driving along the scenic road with its share of twists and turns.

A drive through Tuscany is an experience to treasure, and quite achievable.

March to October is the best time to visit Tuscany.

Tuscany boasts renowned routes such as the Mille Miglia Race route, Strada Chiantigiana, and the rolling hills of Emilia-Romagna, making it an exhilarating and secure destination for driving supercars.

Chianti Wine Country, Route Mille Miglia, and the Strada Chiantigiana(SP 222) are some famous routes for motor enthusiasts.

Food is one of the reasons to visit Tuscany. Its centuries-old gastronomy and the jealously guarded local recipes are one of the region’s highlights.
